Not a whole lot to report this week.
The shipment of
SEER'S DIGEST reprints will be arriving in the next few days and all orders will be in the mail by the end of this week.
I will be at
ONI-CON again this month, so be sure to stop by and say "hi!" if you're in the area.
Donation Wallpapers for October should also be up by the end of the week, so keep an eye out.
That's all from me for now.
Pfft.
My so-called social life.

I've been quite absent from the internetz for the past week, barely checking my e-mail and generally being less-than-present. The reason being, now that I'm back in the Boston area, is that I've spent the last few days rebuilding my social life. Is that death for someone who makes his living online? Time will tell. All I know is that it was great to have some human contact with some old friends.
There was a slight problem at the printer, but
SEER'S DIGEST was printed and shipped out to me yesterday. I ought to have the books here and ready to be mailed out some time early next week. Thanks to all of you who ordered early.
Be sure to come and say "hi" to me at
ONI-CON next month!
Check out the
SPWUG Blog Site for my weekly rants. This past Wednesday I posted the recipe for Mookie's World-Famous Stew. Other entries include my displeasure with IMing, my love of metal and my disapproval of the current state of comic books.
That's all from me for now!
Blah.

Today's strip will be up late.
Was feeling under the weather yesterday.
Will put it up ASAP.
Proof positive!

I received the proofs for the reprinting of
SEER'S DIGEST, approved them and sent them back to the printer. They should be arriving at Mookie HQ sometime in the next week and a half or so.
But you can order your copy now from the
Seer's Catalog if you like.
I'm really happy with the reprinting since I went with the same printer that did
Ecstasy & Evil. I got to make a few changes from the first printing and added some stuff to make the book look a lot nicer. I do hope you like it.
Just another Monday.

This past weekend I finally got the rest of my furniture into my new apartment. It's amazing what a couple of chairs will do to make a place feel like home. In any case, I'm thrilled to finally have all my stuff back.
This week I should be getting the proofs for the reprinting of
SEER'S DIGEST. Once I approve it for printing it will go back on sale in the
Seer's Catalog. I will keep you all posted in regards to that.
And finally, I will be appearing at
ONI-CON next month for the second consecutive year. I had such a blast last year and they were kind enough to invite me back. Be sure to stop by and say "hi" if you're in the area!
That's all from me for now.
Short but sweet.

Not much to report today except for a couple of things.
September's
Donation Wallpapers are up. I do hope to like 'em.
By the end of this week I should have some information regarding the second printing of
Dominic Deegan Volume 1: SEER'S DIGEST. I'll keep you folks posted.
Don't forget to check the
SPWUG Blog Site for some nifty rants, including my new one which will be posted this Wednesday. I do hope you find it entertaining.
That's all from me for now.
On second thought...

I changed my mind.
I've decided to "officially" link to the three forums again.
It was a spur-of-the-moment thing I decided to try doing in the spirit of "a fresh start" since my move back to the Boston area, and while I don't frequent the forums it just kinda felt... wrong... to not link to them. And besides, just because I don't frequent the forums doesn't mean I have to keep the rest of you away from them.
Truth be told I was expecting a lot more e-mail feedback on this matter. I must've received under a dozen total yesterday regarding it. Oh well. Moving right along... foot loose and faaaancy free.
In other news, I'll be ranting weekly over at the brand new
SPWUG Blog Site. Spwug is a startup geek life and con culture magazine I regularly write articles and fiction for, and the editor-in-chief asked me to write in the magazine's blog every Wednesday. So go on and check it out! This week I'm ranting about comic books. Shocking.
Back again.

Well. That wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Thanks to the swarm of people moving in to the Boston area this past weekend, the cable and internet companies were working overtime to secure new customers and connect folks to the internet. I was among one of the lucky folks to get connected rather quickly. Hooray!
Thanks to all of you who sent me e-mails wishing me good luck and sympathies on my move. The new headquarters is shaping up to be a really nice place, albeit missing some furniture and housing one very confused kitty. Not being a city cat, Rascal has taken to hiding under my bed, which is an odd sight because I'm sleeping on a futon on the floor. She is an odd kitty.
September's
Donation Wallpapers should be up later this week.
And finally, as you can see, I've taken down yet another link. I have decided to stop "officially" linking to the three forums altogether. The reason being that I've never been active on forums in general and lately I rely more on feedback from direct e-mails than forum posts. Can a webcomic exist without a forum link? Time will tell.
I encourage you to send all feedback, whether it be praise or criticism no matter how sweet or harsh, via
e-mail to me directly. Personally, I enjoy feedback when it doesn't start an argument, drama and/or a flame war.
For those of you who would like to continue visiting the three forums, here are the links to them for your bookmarking convenience.

Remember, remember, the first of September.
The crappy doodle Mookie hath brought.
I see no reason why the... something something something...
Should ever be... something with a crappy filler doodle.
Sorry. Just watched V For Vendetta.
I have a man-crush on Hugo Weaving.
Anyway, if you're reading this I'm getting ready to move, again, and I will be unable to update the strip for a few days. I'll be busy doing things like unpacking boxes, putting new bills in my name, watching after a very confused kitty and, most importantly, getting internet set up in my new place. Once again I must sincerely apologize for yet another delay in updates, but this ought to be the last significant one for a long time to come.
It's been a rather emotional summer for me and I want to thank you, the greatest readers in the world, for being so supportive and patient with me during these last few months. I could not have done it without you.
I'll keep you all posted as to my progress with getting re-settled into my new apartment.
That's all from me for now.
Changes abound.

Couple of announcements around here, my dear and awesome readers.
First of all, as you can see I've changed the title image of the webcomic to plain words and I shrank the menu. In doing so I took down the links to the FAQ and LINKS pages. I need to give them a bit of an overhaul so they're going to remain down for now. This is just a temporary way for me to streamline a couple of things around here. The whole site may be subject to rennovation sometime soon, and this is just me testing the waters to see what I like and how it looks.
Second of all, and most importantly, yours truly is moving back to the Boston area this weekend. On Saturday I will be packing up my temporary headquarters here in New York and shipping myself and Rascal back to my old familiar stomping grounds. As such, it may be a few days before I get my internet re-connected and all that other setup stuff, but I'll do my best to keep y'all posted. This summer has just been full of delays and absences on my part, and I thank you all so very much for your continued patience.
That's all from me for now!
Fifteen-hundred and counting

Sorry I haven't been to posty this week, everyone. I've been feeling a little under the weather, but the bug seems to have left me. Mostly. I still have a bit of a tummy-ache as I write this.
In any case, thanks to those of you who wished me a "happy 1500 strips!" I really appreciate that. It even
got mentioned over at Applegeeks. I can't believe that picture of me is still floating around.
And, in a Mookie-related sighting that has nothing to do with my 1500-strip landmark, yours truly made a guest appearance over at
Genrezvous Point! I'm super glad this webcomic is updating again. I was hooked from the very first story about "the seven plagues of cinema." Give it a look-see.
And when you say hi to Brian Carroll, the creator, tell him Mookie said to say, "They! Must! Find! A! Way!" /inside joke
That's all from me for now!
Landmarky!

Love it or hate it, this is the 1500th strip of Dominic Deegan.
Just in case you were keeping track.
Thanks for fifteen-hundred comics of pure joy.
Thank you all so much.

Well it only took about a million years and half of August for me to get around to it, but this month's Donation Wallpapers are up for your consideration. I happen to think they came out looking rather nice, so I hope you enjoy them.
Another bit of business I have to get to around here is the return of the Comic Book Day Reviews. It's been months since I've done one, so in order to catch up, here's a quick list of titles I've been reading that get my Seal of Approval... if that happens to count for anything in the grand scheme of things.
The All-New Atom
New Warriors
Nova
Justice Society of America
Robin
Outsiders
Superman
Blue Beetle
Justice League of America
The Flash
Thunderbolts!
The "big event" books have been a little disappointing for me, due to their terrible cases of tie-in-itis. I'm on a budget, for pity's sakes! I haven't got the money to buy every freaking book on a freaking checklist just to read a freaking story! I'm looking at you World War Hulk, Amazons Attack and Countdown.
Although Countdown is beginning to shed its tie-in-itis and standing alone fairly well. Or maybe I just have a soft spot for Pied Piper & Trickster and The Atom's team of explorers. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
New books that have come out that show a great deal of potential are two of the Annihilation: Conquest titles, Quasar and Star Lord. Also having just come out yesterday was the debut of the always-entertaining Booster Gold series, which promises to be fantastic if the next issues are as good as this first one.
That's all from me for now.

Donation Wallpapers did not, as you can see, go up last week like I said they would. The reason for that was a rotten, old-fashioned case of artist's block. Nothing was coming out right. Or even very good. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be more successful this week, since August is nearly half over as it is.
That's all from me for now.
Back to wrapping things up with the Snowsong arc.

Hey gang.
A weird computer glitch, combined with an untimely power outage, seems to have strangely erased a month's worth of e-mails from my inbox.
If you sent me something between the beginning of July and now that you'd like me to reply to... be it compliments, complaints, ad inquiries or what-have-you... send it to me again so I can reply. I know for a fact I lost a few ad inquiries I hadn't gotten around to answering yet.
That's all from me for now.
