Jayden speaks the truth. That was a pretty weak joke, albeit unintentionally by Tessa. But the Luanians have never been known for their stellar sense of humor. Besides Pamela (who's ordained by the Luanian church) making the occasional dirty joke, we've only seen one or two priests let a profanity slip or make equally bad puns.
Actually, that was the same priest in those last two examples. There really are very few funny Luanians in this comic. I think their lame attempts at humor are endearing, but I'm biased because I write these lame jokes for them.
Preparation continues for ANIME BOSTON this weekend. This will be my first big show of 2012. I find myself a little nervous, but I think that's a good sign. After eight or nine years of doing conventions, big and small, I still get the occasional butterflies. That nervous rush of meeting readers face-to-face, hoping that I'll still make a good impression and that everyone who comes to see me walks away happy, is encouraging to me. It means that I'm not jaded to all this. It means that I still thrive off meeting you awesome folks in person. I hope these butterflies never fly away for good.
That's all from me for now.
