And therein lies a difference between two of Bumper's friends who are very affected by his death. Quilt wants to avenge him. Laurie Mondane wants payback, and he's gotten gruesomely good at payback lately.
I'm at ConnectiCon today and the whole weekend! Come by and say "hi," and keep an eye on my Twitter feed to stay up-to-date on all the convention related stuff I'll be doing! Silly updates will also be included in that feed, I imagine.
I want to make special note of Jayden today because of something else happening over the weekend.
But first, there's a lingering rumor that pops up in the occasional email I receive that goes something like, "Jayden is based on your ex-girlfriend who cheated on you." Jayden is not based on my ex. We parted ways amicably and not because of infidelity. Jayden is my friend Meg's character from an old Dungeons & Dragons game, the same game in which I came up with Dominic, and I originally put her in the comic a decade ago as a way to say "hi!" Over the years Meg has approved of and enjoyed every decision I've made with Jayden, and she still reads the comic to this day.
As for that "something else" happening over the weekend? My friend Meg is getting married to her blushing bride Carrie (who's going to punch me in the balls for calling her that). I'm sorry I can't make your wedding because of ConnectiCon, but you two know I love you so much and I'll be there in spirit. So drink plenty of spirits for me on your awesome day, ladies! Congratulations!
Coincidentally, I missed another good friend's wedding last year because of ConnectiCon, but I failed to make special mention of it. Sorry, Jonathan. I think I still owe you a wedding present, too.
That's all from me for now.
Rock on, and see you at ConnectiCon!
