The original name for Klo Tark's people actually was "eldarians," but I was never one hundred percent satisfied with the name. When I was writing little footnotes to myself I abbreviated their name to "eld" in shorthand and finally liked what I saw. I thought "eldarian" sounded too pretty and elegant. "The eld," on the other hand, sounded just alien enough for a lost race from ancient history.
It's a slow news day otherwise, and I'm just fine with that. This is that calm week between the two craziest conventions of my summer, ConnectiCon and Otakon. Unlike last weekend, where I was heavily involved in panels and main events at ConnectiCon, I'll simply be in the Artist Alley at Otakon for marathon hours, ready to sell merchandise and say hello to anyone who comes by. Just because I'll be stationary next weekend doesn't mean it'll be any less crazy. Anyone who's been to Otakon can tell you that.
After Otakon I'll be going on my annual summer vacation with my wife. The scheduling of it is a bit different this year, so I'm not putting out the call for a week's worth of guest artwork like I have in previous years. I'll have more on this as Otakon nears.
That's all from me for now.
