The Kickstarter to fund the printing of Dwarves of Kadaz: REVOLUTION officially came to an end yesterday, and it was a successful campaign. I am so very happy that folks wanted a print version of this story to exist, and that I will be able to deliver it for you. I am also very happy that I don’t have to promote that campaign any more.
Only I still kinda have to, but not with the same intensity.
Kickstarter has a “late pledges” option that I’m trying out, where folks who missed the campaign deadline have a window of opportunity to make a last-minute pledge. I want to give folks as many chances as possible, but I also value the urgency of time limits, so I set the late pledge window to about a week.
I also only made it available for book orders, not commissions. You may think that’s a dumb decision on my part, given that commissions are quite popular pledge incentives for my crowdfunding campaigns, but this was a decision for my mental health rather than my financial gain. I take commissions occasionally because I get easily overwhelmed by lengthy queues, and knowing that I won’t be getting any more requests past what’s already been pledged weirdly puts me at ease.
I will never be overwhelmed by book orders, however, so keep those coming.
Thank you to everyone who was in a position to pledge support for this campaign. Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about it. And thank you in advance to anyone who will be making a late pledge this week. I couldn’t do this without any of you.
