My Annual Winter Break, 2020 edition!

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything for the blog section, so I want to close out 2020 with a return to that! At least one entry more before we close out this strenuous, difficult year.

First things first: this current chapter, “Dreamfinder,” will conclude on Wednesday, December 23 and following that I will be taking my annual winter break. The Legacy of Dominic Deegan will resume updating on Monday, January 4 with a new chapter!

I’m looking forward to putting 2020 behind me, as I believe we all are. I stopped blogging this year because I ran out of inspiration and desire. Being stuck at home, with every convention of the year canceled, and trying my very best to be safe for both myself and my family, all added up to a great deal of pandemic-fatigue that drained me of any desire to blog about anything. But now that 2020 is ending, and things are potentially looking up (at least politically here in the United States), I’m feeling inspiration return. I want to return to semi-regular blogging, maybe ease back into it with a once-a-week entry. We’ll see!

2021 will hopefully have more ups and than downs, and I’m going to do my best to provide some ups for you fine folks! I plan to print the first book of The Legacy of Dominic Deegan, one that will include “The Legacy” and “Mongreltown” chapters. I also want to reprint the second omnibus of the Oracle for Hire series, so cross your fingers for that to happen!

2020 has been insanely difficult. I miss my family and my friends. I know people who have lost loved ones to this hideous epidemic. Many of us have looked on in frustration as safety warnings have gone ignored and political action has been nonexistent. But so many of us are persevering, playing it safe for the sake of everyone around us and trying to get through this in one piece… even if we may need some help putting ourselves back together when this is all over.

I love you all so much, and remain humbled and grateful for your years of support. Here’s t0 a better 2021, and beyond.
